A Rockland woman will spend the next 4-12 years in prison after being convicted of a fatal gas explosion in 2015 at 121 Second Avenue in Manhattan. Two were killed and 13 seriously injured when the building and two others nearby collapsed. Manhattan’s D-A says 59 year-old Maria Hrynenko and two others were found guilty of second degree manslaughter and other charges last November. Hrynenko owned the building which had an illegal gas hook-up.
