The Ramapo Challenger Center’s “SciGirls in Space” program will get to speak with an astronaut who is high above the earth aboard the International Space Station next week. Members of the program are sixth- through ninth-graders from Rockland County and Montvale. The program encourages girls to get involved with science, technology, engineering, and math. The event is being held at the Town of Ramapo Challenger Center, located at 225 Route 59 in Airmont. The doors open at 7:45, the program begins at 8:15 and they should make the connection with the space station between 8:55 and 9:20.
