You can pick up a sign at Specht’s office. According to the CDC, drowning is the leading cause of death in children in the United States ages 1–4. For kids ages 5–14, drowning is the second leading cause of unintentional injury death after motor vehicle crashes. Every year there are an estimated 4,000 fatal unintentional drownings, that’s 11 drownings each day.
