A Monroe man faces Disorderly Conduct and Harassment charges in Ramapo after he was suspected of coughing on a customer at the Airmont Walmart on Monday. The victim caught the event on video and the Ramapo Police Department shared it on social media. The unidentified 25 year-old was stopped yesterday for several traffic offenses on Route 59 and the officer on-scene recognized the man from the video. He was brought Ramapo Police Headquarters and then released without bail. He is due back in the Village of Airmont Justice Court next month.
Also in Ramapo, kudos are going out to Rockland EMS, who went above and beyond on Monday. Spring Hill Community Ambulance and the Rockland Paramedics Corps responded to an accident in Spring Valley involving a man who was making a food delivery. The victim was concerned he couldn’t make his delivery, so the team from Rockland Paramedics completed it for him.
