A 48 year-old Nanuet man was taken to an area hospital for evaluation following an early-morning confrontation with Ramapo Police officers. Police say the incident began 2:30 Thursday morning with a traffic violation in Hillcrest. Police say the man got out of his car, became aggressive and confrontational, and shouted at the officer to shoot him. The officer was reportedly forced into a physical encounter to control the man, who was then taken to the hospital. He’s charged with Obstructing Governmental Administration, Disorderly Conduct, and DWI. About four hours earlier, a 30 year-old Wesley Hills woman was unable to explain how her car ended up on the front lawn of a Haverstraw Road home in Montebello. Ramapo police say they say they found pills scattered throughout the front seat and the driver showed signs of intoxication. She was arrested and charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance and Aggravated DWI with a test result double the legal limit. Neither of the two suspects was identified.
