New York’s governor has reportedly taken steps to bring back congestion pricing, which was put on pause in the eleventh hour last June. POLITICO reported Governor Kathy Hochul asked the U.S. Department of Transportation whether bringing back congestion pricing with lower tolls than the planned $15 would require another lengthy environmental review process. An unidentified source said it could be lowered to $9 to drive into Manhattan below 60th Street.
