Soon-to-be former Rockland congressman Democrat Mondaire Jones blamed New York’s former governor and other leading Democrats for allowing four Congressional seats to turn GOP red in last week’s midterm elections. According to Gothamist.com, in an appearance Sunday on CNN, Jones said the state’s redistricting process put New York into what he called a “nightmare scenario.” Jones had opted out of running in the newly configured 17th Congressional district, running instead in another district unsuccessfully in the city. Congressman Sean Patrick Maloney, a Democrat, went on to lose the 17th district race to Republican Rockland Assemblyman Mike Lawler.
