The director of the Rockland District Attorney’s Undercover Drug Task Force has been let go and a detective captain has been suspended. That’s according to the Journal News, which reports D-A Tom Walsh has replaced retired Haverstraw police detective sergeant George Lutz. No details were provided. Captain Brendan Donohue, a former Haverstraw officer and detective, has been placed on paid administrative leave, but no details were provided in this case either. A D-A spokesman called it a personnel matter and declined further comment, but indicated more information would be forthcoming.
