A Spring Valley man faces charges after allegedly using a fake ID to close another person’s bank account in Connecticut. The Connecticut Post says 19 year-old Lucas Jerome, along with 70 year-old Leroy Brown of Mount Vernon, were busted trying to get $200,000 from the account. Last week’s attempt fell apart when Jerome, posing as Brown’s grandson, reportedly was unable to remember his grandfather’s last name. Jerome was charged with conspiracy to commit first-degree larceny and carrying a dangerous weapon. He was arraigned in Bridgeport and held on $10,000 bond.
