Rockland is celebrating a court victory over the timing of future local elections, but an appeal of the decision is likely. Proponents of the law said the move would make for more cost-efficient elections and encourage more participation, but Orangetown Supervisor Teresa Kenny doesn’t buy it…
Orange County State Senator James Skoufis, who led the charge in support of the law, said he wasn’t surprised by the decision…
Skoufis says the decision will be appealed.
