A new poll out suggests Rockland’s congressman might have been better off trying to run in his re-shaped district instead of trying a new one that covers northern Brooklyn and lower Manhattan. The “Data for Progress” poll posted on CityAndState.com has eight of the 13 candidates that scored in the poll, and Mondaire Jones finished in fifth place with seven percent. That was enough to do better than former New York City Mayor Bill DeBlasio, who garnered just five percent. The winner of the poll was “Not Sure” with 27 percent. The primary is August 23rd.
