Seven Rockland corrections officers who were fired from their jobs have settled a civil rights lawsuit against the county and Rockland’s Sheriff for about $3.5 million. That’s according to the Journal News, which reports the officers claimed they were forced out of their jobs because they supported a candidate running against the sheriff.
