Rockland’s County Executive delivered his State of the County address last night in the Legislature’s Chambers in New City. Ed Day highlighted various accomplishments from the past year, including offering increased funding to non-profits, equipping school buses with stop-arm cameras, for the second year in a row — no property tax increases, and increased efforts in creating usable outdoor spaces in the county…
Day also pointed to other wins, including gains made by tourism efforts, and the progress made by the Office of Buildings and Codes, which has conducted more than 800 inspections, issued over 7,000 violations, and levied a quarter million dollars in fines.
