Rockland emergency services have been meeting and preparing for large crowds at Rockland Lake State Park this summer, particularly on the popular July 4th and Labor Day weekends. Last year, you may recall, excessive crowds resulted in not only flare-ups on the grills but flare-ups among people, mostly out-of-towners who were impatient waiting on long lines to park, and area residents fed up with cars that just parked anywhere they wanted to.
