The Rockland County Department of Health has been notified that a person who tested positive for COVID-19 attended three separate Spanish language masses at the Gracepoint Gospel Fellowship Church, located at 384 New Hempstead Road in New City during their infectious period.
Anyone who attended the following masses should contact the Rockland County Department of Health to determine if they should quarantine:
- Friday, September 18 from 7:30 to 9:00 PM
- Sunday, September 20 from 2:00 to 3:00 PM
- Wednesday, September 23 from 5:30 to 7:00 PM

The Rockland County Department of Health is working closely with the Church and will continue to update the public as necessary.
Symptoms of COVID-19 include:
- Fever or chills
- Cough
- Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
- Fatigue
- Muscle or body aches
- Headache
- New loss of taste or smell
- Sore throat
- Congestion or runny nose
- Nausea or vomiting
- Diarrhea
This list does not include all possible symptoms. The Rockland County Department of Health reminds residents of the need to stay at least 6 feet apart from other people who are not from their household in both indoor and outdoor spaces. This social distancing should be practiced in combination with everyday preventive actions including wearing masks, avoid touching one’s face with unwashed hands, staying home when unwell, and frequently washing your hands with soap and water for 20 seconds or using hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.
