The cause of the fire that struck Rockland Lake State Park about a week ago remains under investigation, as it’s not yet clear how it started. Meanwhile, the county has lifted its outdoor burn ban thanks to the recent rains that have brought some much-needed moisture to the area. The state burn ban however remains in effect until November 30th. The State of New York’s Drought “Warning” for the Hudson Valley also remains in place, under which there are no water usage restrictions, but residents are asked to voluntarily conserve water.
