Today is Veterans Day, and several events are being held in today in Rockland. In Stony Point, an Eagle Scout’s veterans project is being unveiled at 9am at Clark Park located at East Main Street and Beach Road.
In Nyack, the Hezekiah Easter Veterans Memorial Square dedication will take place on the corner of Main and Cedar streets at 9:30am.
In Ramapo, the Jewish War Veterans service gets underway at 10am at the Gene Levy Park on Route 45.
In Suffern, the village is hosting their annual event at 11am at the Soldier’s Monument Statue at 61 Washington Avenue.
The American Legion Leo Laders Post 130 hosts their ceremony at 11am at Calico Hill Veterans Park on West Railroad Avenue in Garnerville.
The Nanuet Civic Association and the Naurashank American Legion will hold a ceremony at Memorial Park on Prospect Street by the train station, also at 11am.

The Rockland County Veterans Coordinating Council’s “Veteran of the Year Ceremony” honoring Chip Hayes begins at noon Sunday in front of the Allison-Parris Building on New Hempstead Road.
Other events being held on Sunday, include a parade in Pearl River at 10am with refreshments to follow for veterans at the Pearl River American Legion Post 329. Over in Orangeburg there’s a ceremony at 10am at Veterans Memorial Park at 81 Hunt Road.
