The landlord of a Spring Valley apartment building accused of breaking a number of codes has been given more time to make repairs. That’s according to the Journal News, which says the county has delayed court action against the Ridge Avenue building. The owners have hired an engineering firm and the landlord is reportedly making efforts to fix the 27 violations that led the Rockland Office of Building and Codes to deem the building unsafe. Once the landlord gets a building permit for his work plan, it could be about four months before all work is complete.
