School is right around the corner and that means school buses are right around the same corners. Just about all of them are armed with cameras from BusPatrol, which has partnered with Rockland County to help catch those who illegally pass school buses when their stop lights have been activated. Statistics show that on a daily basis, 50,000 cars pass stopped school buses in New York State. Clarkstown School District Superintendent of Schools Dr. Marc Baiocco said they’ll also be looking at what’s happening on the buses…
Day said the enforcement isn’t about the money, it’s about safety. There are financial penalties, however, the first violation is $250, the second is $275, and a third will set you back $300.
