Representatives from the Rockland County Sheriff’s Office and area police departments paid their respects to 31 year-old NYPD officer Jonathan Dilller whose funeral services were held Saturday on Long Island. Diller was shot and killed last Monday during a traffic stop in Far Rockaway, Queens. Rockland County Sheriff Lou Falco says the incident is further proof that the state’s bail reform laws are not working…
Officer Diller was promoted to detective during his funeral service. The alleged gunman, 34-year-old Guy Rivera, has been charged with first-degree murder of a police officer, attempted murder and criminal possession of a weapon.
