Rockland is now under its fourth State of Emergency in the war on the measles. It took effect at midnight and will remain in effect for the next month. Nearly 24,000 MMR vaccines have been administered by the county since the outbreak began last October. Earlier this month, the Rockland County Department of Health issued mandatory vaccination orders for all children and staff attending summer camp. Free MMR vaccines are available at the Rockland County Department of Health in Pomona. Call them at 845-364-2497 for more information.
