Though it might not be popular, it’s probably a good idea to have an adult in a car when a teen is driving. The AAA Foundation for Traffic Safety finds when a teen driver has only teen passengers with them, the fatality rate for all people increased 51%. But when passengers 35 or older are along for the ride, fatality rates in crashes decreased eight percent.
