Nyack, the dedication of the Hezekiah Easter Veterans Memorial Square will take place on the corner of Main and Cedar streets at 9:30am.
Ramapo, at the Gene Levy Park on Route 45 at 10am hosted by Jewish War Veterans.
Garnerville, hosted by the American Legion Leo Laders Post 130, 11am at Calico Hill Veterans Park on West Railroad Avenue.
Nanuet, the Nanuet Civic Association and the Naurashank American Legion will hold a ceremony at 11am at Ernest F. Giraudin Memorial Park on Prospect Street by the Train Station.
The New York City Veterans Day Parade will step off at 25th street and Fifth Avenue, rain or shine, between noon and 12:30 and will end around 3:30pm. The parade will head north to about 40th street.
Other events are being held on Sunday, including:
Pearl River: parade begins at 10 a.m. Refreshments will follow at the Pearl River American Legion Post 329 for veterans.
Orangeburg: ceremony begins at 10 a.m. at Orangeburg Veterans Park, 81 Hunt Road.
New City: the Rockland County Veterans Coordinating Council “Veteran of the Year Ceremony” honoring Chip Hayes begins at noon in front of the Allison-Parris Building on New Hempstead Road.
