Rockland’s County Executive delivered his State of the County address yesterday. Ed Day highlighted the county’s fiscal responsibility, infrastructure investments, various quality-of-life improvements, and the housing crisis…
Day also highlighted the accomplishments of various departments, including Public Safety and Consumer Protection, and Health and Human Services. Day also spotlighted various cost-saving measures taken in the past year, including $30 million saved on capital improvements by paying upfront rather than borrowing, using $2 million in state funding to resurface 14 miles of county roads, and taking only state and federal funds to buy 12 new TRIPS paratransit buses.
