Rockland’s Sheriff is in Albany this week meeting with colleagues from around the state, to discuss and to learn from each other how to deal with various issues in county correctional facilities. Sheriff Lou Falco told “The Morning Show” yesterday the annual Jail Administrators Conference deals with programs and procedures for better dealing with and doing things for the incarcerated population. Falco says a work-ready program that started here in Rockland is now getting more attention state-wide…
Other issues being discussed include providing medical services and treating opioid addiction. They also learn about some of the changes the governor and legislature have made that might affect how facilities are run and managed.
