A Monsey man has been arrested and charged with more than two dozen traffic violations after crashing a school bus into a New Hempstead home last month. Ramapo Police say 37 year-old Chaim Feder faces three counts of Second Degree Assault, twenty-one counts of Endangering the welfare of a Child, and several other charges. The bus had crashed into a home on South Gate Road in the Village of New Hempstead on December 1st, resulting in extensive property damage and multiple injuries to children on the bus. They ranged in age from four to 10 years old. Feder was arraigned yesterday afternoon and released without bail. He’ll have a future date in the Village of New Hempstead Court.
