The state Senate’s investigations committee isn’t through with its examination of safety concerns with the new Tappan Zee Bridge. North Rockland and Orange County state senator James Skoufis says the Committee on Investigations and Government Operations has asked Tappan Zee Constructors, LLC, to turn over information and documents pertaining to potential safety issues on the new bridge, raised after an Albany Times-Union report earlier this year on a whistle blower’s concerns. Skoufis says the Thruway Authority has been cooperating with the inquiry and has shared significant documentation over the past seven weeks.
