A Spring Valley mom has been sentenced to nine months in the Rockland County Jail stemming from the death of her son in June. Rockland’s D.A. says Marie Dorleus left her three young children unsupervised in their home for several hours. While she was away, a box spring fell on her one-year-old son, causing him to asphyxiate. The D.A. wanted Dorleus to get one and one-third to four years in state prison after pleading guilty to Criminally Negligent Homicide.
