The national Boy Scouts organization recently reached an $850 million settlement with more than 60,000 men who alleged sexual abuse by adults in scouting over several decades. The agreement is the first legal settlement stemming from many lawsuits against the Boy Scouts, which filed for bankruptcy last year. Camp Bullowa and two other Hudson Valley properties the Boy Scouts owns locally have been put up for sale to help meet their financial responsibilities.
