Rockland is also getting more COVID tests to distribute to local school districts. New York’s Director of State Operations Kathryn Garcia says the state ordered more than 37 million at-home test kits and got the first shipment of about 5.3 million late last week…
The test kits that go to the school districts will be sent to classmates of kids that have tested positive. County Executive Day says future test kit deliveries will be used by populations outside of the school districts.
Meanwhile, the county’s death count since Thursday is up four to 1,020. The number of active COVID cases is up from 5,850 to 8,645, but we have fewer in the hospital with COVID, the total is 77, and that’s down six.
