A Stony Point woman faces 17 years in prison after pleading guilty to manslaughter in the fatal stabbing of her mother in December 2022. Rockland County D-A Tom Walsh says 27 year-old Marilyn Mora had just stabbed her mother when police arrived at their home. Mora’s husband was on the phone with 911 when the incident occurred. Stony Point Police found Mora’s mother, Doris Quispe, laying face down in the middle of the upstairs hallway in a pool of blood. Mora was being restrained by her husband nearby. Walsh said Mora used two kitchen knives to stab her mother in the back and throat. Mora was sent to the Rockland County Jail. She’ll be sentenced December 3rd.
