The “Five Towns of Rockland Blood Drive Challenge” kicks off today with the goal of increasing the dwindling local emergency blood supply and registering more people to be regular donors. Tomorrow’s drive at Orangetown town hall runs from 9am to 3pm. Stony Point goes on Thursday at the Senior Center, Clarkstown goes Friday at town hall, and Haverstraw’s day is Saturday at their town hall. The Thruway Authority will light up the Tappan Zee Bridge in red tonight to help spread awareness of this life-saving initiative.
