An Orange County man remains in critical condition after an accident on the New York State Thruway during Monday morning’s rush hour. Police say 52 year-old Louis Lupo of New Windsor was critically injured after crashing into the back of a tractor-trailer that was stopped on the shoulder near the Sloatsburg rest area. Lupo was extricated from his car and airlifted to Westchester Medical Center. The truck’s driver, 43 year-old David Bucci of Bel Air, Maryland, was reportedly in the sleeping berth of the truck at the time and was not injured. The crash is under investigation.
