Tolls for New York E-ZPass holders could go up 50 cents each year for four straight years, starting January first 2024, eventually hitting $7.75 in 2027. There would be discounts for Rockland and Westchester commuters, but if you have an out-of-state EZ Pass or you don’t have any EZ Pass at all, the rates would be even higher. If the Thruway board of directors decides today to implement the plan, a series of reviews, including public hearings, would have to be held before it is made official.
