Ticketmaster confirmed Friday they are investigating a data breach that may have affected over 500 million customers. That’s according to The Hill. Parent company Live Nation Entertainment, made that known in a filing with the SEC. This on the heels of the Justice Department’s announcement last month that they’re going after Ticketmaster and parent company Live Nation, which control an estimated 70 percent of the live entertainment market. The lawsuit, backed by attorneys general from 30 states, claims the companies’ dominance in the industry has negatively impacted artists, promoters, and venues nationwide, creating higher ticket prices, fewer concert opportunities for artists, and other issues.
