The town of Ramapo released the long-awaited financial audits for 2015. Supervisor Michael Specht told “The Morning Show” Friday the town has about an $8.7 million deficit, but the money comes from other areas of town, and there isn’t new debt to outside third parties…
Specht says selling town properties and hiring fewer employees will help pay down the deficit.
Finance Director John Lynch expects operating deficits from 2016 through 2018 to be smaller, thanks to a $3 million gain so far this year…
Specht estimates the 2016 financial audits could be ready in May.
