A ceremony celebrating the arrival of a new Torah into a New Square synagogue is expected to bring out thousands for the joyous event starting today. While traffic could be affected, Route 45 in the area is not expected to be shut down. Ramapo supervisor Michael Specht told “The Morning Show” yesterday plans have been put in place to keep things as orderly as possible…
Festivities are expected to be contained in New Square with road closures within the village during the celebration. If you’re not taking part in the celebration, you’ll probably want to avoid the area between Clover Stadium in Pomona and Harmony Road in Hillcrest entirely today from 5pm through midnight and tomorrow from 10am until midnight. Roads won’t be shut down, but traffic is expected to be extra-heavy.
