Traffic on the Thruway in Rockland came to a halt yesterday afternoon around 2:30 after an electric transmission support line fell onto the northbound side near Palisades Center. The roadway was blocked entirely between exit 12 in West Nyack and exit 14 in Nanuet for about 90 minutes before being partially re-opened. Traffic in the afternoon was backed-up nearly to White Plains in Westchester and to Airmont in the southbound direction. There were no injuries reported.
