This morning’s accident on the New York State Thruway in Suffern claimed the lives of two members of Rockland volunteer ambulance corps. 27 year-old Moshe Herzog was driving around 1:45AM on the southbound Thruway when he reportedly collided with a tractor trailer, sending both vehicles off the roadway and into a ditch. Herzog, a 1st Lt. Supply Officer with the William P. Faist Volunteer Ambulance Corps in Chestnut Ridge, and 26 year-old EMT David Schneebalg, also with Faist, were killed in the crash. Both had also volunteered with the Haverstraw Ambulance Corps. The driver of the tractor trailer was taken to Westchester Medical Center with unknown injuries.
