A 70 year-old Monsey man killed crossing a street in Ramapo late Thursday after being struck by two cars has been identified. Ramapo Police say Chaim Chiment was walking with another man across the intersection of West Maple Avenue and Kings Point Lane just after 6pm when he was hit by a car traveling northbound. Chiment was thrown into the southbound lanes where he was struck by another car heading south on West Maple. He was pronounced dead at Good Samaritan Hospital. Both drivers remained on-scene. The crash is currently under investigation by the Town of Ramapo Police Crash Investigation Unit. No word on the other man’s condition or identity.
