A vote on the sale of the Patriot Hills Golf Course in Stony Point appears to have new life. A state Supreme Court justice late last week dismissed a challenge to a petition seeking a permissive referendum on the sale of the golf course and the adjoining property. Stony Point supervisor Jim Monaghan last week, before the judge’s decision was announced, indicated the developer wants to move quickly to make improvements after signing a contract with the town late last month…
Attorney Mike Diederich represents the petitioners and said he’s concerned a private developer could eliminate the golf course…
Diederich would like to see the town board to put the sale on the ballot in November.
