A Hudson Valley tourist favorite is in trouble as Westchester’s county executive is getting rid of its operator. Standard Amusements told Lohud.com that Westchester didn’t provide enough food and ride safety technology at Rye Playland, an area fixture since 1928. Standard had a 30-year deal with the county, but county executive George Latimer said Standard breached their contract, which Standard denies. Playland is set to open for the season May 11th.
