WRCR’s former official rain tabulator, Dick Roes, passed away on Sunday at his home in New City. He won seven Emmy Awards as an audio- and post-production engineer for ABC Sports and ABC News, but he’s best known by WRCR listeners over the years for his rain reports here on “The Morning Show”…
Roes is survived by his wife, Michael Eileen, his daughters and grandchildren. Services will be private. The family requests any donations in his name be made to The Wounded Warriors Project, the ASPCA, the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research or the charity of your choice. He was 87 years old.
